Hi there!

I've just parted out my 2014 Scion FR-S track car and picked up a 1999 Subaru STI rally car with a blown turbo.

Working on a few upgrades including plumbing for a larger turbo, Link ECU conversion, wiring simplification, etc.

Someday dream is to design and sell implementations of open-source electronics for vehicles.

Cheers!

Hey Fred!

The change from circuit to rally is pretty awesome, whole new challenge for you if you're new to it all. Solid choice on the Link; they have some great PnP solutions for Subarus, although if you're working on electronics, it sounds like the wiring side of things isn't a problem for you anyway.

Do you have a date in mind for your first event?

Hope you enjoy diving into the new challenge 😎

Thanks Taz!

Before the blown turbo I was thinking late this year haha. Probably looking late next year now - thinking a snow event for nice friendly snowbanks :D

When you're ready, Tall Pines is great fun and anything can happen, even a small team winning it overall in a car that looks a bit like yours. It was on Link as well.

I would love to eventually do Tall Pines! I'm thinking maybe Big White for a first rally since it's a national event but close-ish to home :)
