Hi, i have an isue with fuel pressure regulator. it makes hard noises when fuel pumps are activated, and i can feel fuel lines shaking. fuel pressure is good, car is running fine. but i cant understand why its making noises. I had installed same fuel system to other car with same FPR and its all good. tried to change pumps duty cycle, change the pressure and it still the same. any ideas anybody?

Hi, could it be fuel pulsations from the injectors?

Systems plumbed with all hardlines and PTFE hose will be prone to these kind of 'knocking' noises.

My 240z is plumbed with all hardline and PTFE so I used a Radium Fuel Pulsation damper to avoid this.

I found this discussion as well which might have some helpful info: https://www.hpacademy.com/forum/general-tuning-discussion/show/fuel-damper/

While your two pumps have the same duty cycle. Are they using the same frequency? A typo when configuring could result in one at 200 hz, and one at 20hz. Depending on the pump, you might notice that.

I had same idea of installing fuel damper. i will order it and install it ASAP. Strangly it makes same noises even with engine off.

David, i will check that.
