I would expect that an alternative is to alter the location ( vertical ) of the steering house . That on its turn will alter the angle of the steering tie rods and can coincide with the IC. That is at least the method that I have on my open wheel race car..
Yes, sometimes you can improve the bump/roll steer by moving the steering rack - or make it worse if you don't do it right.
It's unlikely to be "perfect", but as the Ackerman will never match the actual requirement it could be close enough.
Thanks Gord, The method I applied is to avoid as much bump / roll steer. As for Ackerman, I do go for anti- ackerman on my track car...
