Hi all!!

wondering if any of you have had a wrx on tarmac and what specs you had your wheel alignments at!! Thank you!

I can't offer direct help, but it would help if you gave some information on the vehicle, because that will affect any recommendations.

Year and car or wagon?

For example, tyres - width, profile, make (sidewall stiffness can be important), wheel diameter, width, and offset they're fitted to?

Dampers and springs, ride height?

Stock weight or lightened, with or without cage (mass distribution and potential stiffening of the monocoque)?

Anything else you can think of?

In addition to Gord's questions, when you say tarmac do you mean street driving, road course use?

Thanks for reaching out guys!!

Ive attached photos of the car and the tyres :D

Sedan

Yokohama Advan A050 - 235/45R17

Stock weight just stripped out and roll cage

Running MCA Gold Coil Overs

Race Track use running IPRA In SA so Mallala & The bend :D Thjanks guys!!!

The Cambers are about where i run mine, but you have a lot of toe on the vehicle. I run 2mm toe in on the front and 1mm toe out on the rear of my GC8.

I agree the toe seems very high. How did you arrive at these toe values?

Have you tried the car with 1-2mm toe vs. 8-18mm?

I run less static camber, more caster which you might want to try. That reduces instability and rolling resistance while going straight, but gives you dynamic camber during cornering.

An "anti-lift kit" for these cars relocates the rear mounting point of the front control arm to add caster, and replaces the stock bushing in the process. They're relatively inexpensive and available from a number of providers.

You can add even more caster with different front control arms, but the anti lift kit is an inexpensive and easy incremental step.

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
