If it's not really about tuning or wiring. Then it belongs in here.
I'll caveat this with, I had a quick look at module titles and didn't see anything, I should have been through a lot more courses myself by now but have held off on some to be fresh when I'm actually at the point of doing something and because a lot of the material is within my general knowledge base, there may be bits and pieces covered in various courses.
After responding to a thread, I realised I don't think any of the courses have a basic fault finding checklist or quick tips. This could go a long way to people either preparing their vehicles to go to a tuner or let them get tuning themselves rather than having to pay someone, potentially a lot more than necessary to have a car ready to tune or track test.
For people who have had an industry experienced mentor or worked at a higher level in hydraulics and electronics it's probably a live and die by in trade but for a lot of novices it may not be as obvious and they may be apprehensive to do some things which are perfectly fine but fast and free like pulling a port injector electrical plug at idle to chase a miss or literally listen to injectors with a screwdriver at idle, likewise interpret proportional AFR shifts in terms of alignment with cylinder count and potential faults.
I'd suggest this could be of significant value if all the tutors and experienced tuners/mechanics put together a list of quick checks people can do when fault finding to save the ever more common throw parts at it until it works mentality.
