Hello everyone!

So at work we have decided to purchase a new rolling dyno. Traditionally for the last few years we have been engine building (mostly Honda and Ducati) and now want to diversify a bit. However, we want to take it a step further.

What we want to do is instead of having a bike on the dyno itself, we want to put in a standard chassis with the rear wheel attached. The basic idea is that it allows us to put in any engine and test it. After some pretty intense google search, we couldn't really find it. If you could point us towards such a chassis, it will really help our case.

Thank you!

Can't help with your actual question, but have you considered an adjustable engine cradle that takes the engine/transmission assembly and uses a chain drive to a modified roller? From numerous comments with higher power bikes, one of the biggest problems is the amount of power (or rather torque) the tyre patch can transfer?

Maybe using your idea with a bike (or smaller sized car) drag slick would be a sound middle ground?

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
