If it's not really about tuning or wiring. Then it belongs in here.
reading spark plugs for timing mark, don’t really see the blue line I have read about.
Anyone have any thoughts on this plug?
Hello the pic is a little unclear can you post a couple of different picture side on and slight angle also
Thanks Ross
Made it to the drag strip with a fresh set of plugs.
This was first pass on a new engine build
what fuel are you running please show a side on view also
That is on Sunoco 110 fuel, those are the only photos I have of the first pass. I made two more passes after that, I can take photos of them if needed.
for that fuel they are nice and safe a little rich but i dont think you will see mush difference if you leaned it the timing looks ok maybe one deg retarded but again safe grab some more photos next time you use it
Regards Ross
Do I need new plugs every time I want to look at them? Does stacking passes make it more difficult to read? They are on the rich side, I don’t pull them at the end of the track, so there is some idle time and cruise on them back to the pits.
unfortunately thy need to be pulled at the end of the track of after being towed back it is well worth it if you dont have data logging with afr etc
Regards Ross
I run a fitech system for fueling, it has o2 sensor and logging for afr, it is a little rich running down the track but I’m ok with that right now.
Im wanting to make sure I don’t have too much advance in it going down track, or if I can add more.
I have some more plugs from this weekend, but have some idle time on them, I’ll try to pull one at the end of the track next time.
