Hey guys I'm new to HP academy but i have an issue with a my s15 where it was rebuilt and has solid compression but it wont idle wants to die after a few seconds.

Ive already swapped ecu to another good working ecu

the MAF as well Ive swapped for a working one

i smoke tested it for vacuum leaks and nothing

I've changed and checked AAC valve and TPS but only funny thing of TPS it was reading 2.47 volts at first then checked again and reading 5.57 and on wot it doesn’t change also I've triple checked timing and timing is on point including ignition timing I'm running out of ideas.

if this isn't supposed to be on this forum i apologize

If your TPS is reading greater than 5V then there is an issue. These are typically a 5v fed sensor, so having 5.57v on the pin (and it may be higher, the AV input may top out at that voltage in clip the signal) is usually related to having battery voltage being fed into the incorrect location on the loom.

Were you able to diagnose the TPS wiring or sensor issue Stephen mentioned?

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
