I’m building a custom 4 L jeep engine and I had to move some components around. I would really love to add an automatic serpentine belt tensioner but I’m having trouble finding a reliable source that will give me information about belt tensioners. The most I can find is whether they are clockwise or counter clockwise nothing about the spring rates, any help would be greatly appreciated. For my attempts so far, I used an LS motor tensioner however, the belt is only at 58lb (257 newton). I would like to see it somewhere around 120lb (530 newton).

I can't make any specific comments, but using a larger idler pulley, if possible, will increase the tension and give a small reduction in parasitic losses.
