Hi. Anyone knows the best way (cost wise) to ship the parts from Australia to Europe? Looking to send some ITBs. https://racehead.com.au/product/bmw-m44-m42-complete-itb-kit-e30-e36/

Assuming you're paying at the Ukraine end, best bet may be to see what your postal service offers as a mail forwarding service? Second thing may be if the seller uses an Aussie service that gives them a discount rate and have you re-imburse them as part of the purchase?

I don't know what your customs, import duties, etc, are - for example, here in NZ for items over a certain value I need an import licence/registration, a purchase tax and import duty are alo required over specific values. It makes things a lot easier if you have the information they require ready - probably total purchase cost, freight/postal costs, any local (Aussie) taxes paid, and import licence number if applicable.

Again, here, for some items I use our Postal Service's forwarding service and they calculate what I owe the Gov'ment, etc. Other times I use the seller's service, and have to sort it out directly with the Customs' service.

In the meantime, you, and your countrymen and women, hang in there - Putin's getting closer and closer to finding himself being given flying lessons out of a tall building.

It depends on the size and weight.

If its under 20Kg and meets the dimensional requirements probably Australia Post

Then you have the normal range of international freight forwarders DHL etc. They all have websites.

However you will find that Australian companies will already have a freight company they deal with and for them it really makes no difference if they are sending something to the next suburb, state or country.

I will however point out to you that its just a website. There is no Australian address. No postal address.

If you go to their terms and conditions page you will note their banner at the top of the page is Racing Hardware Developments but further down they call themselves Racehead Engineering. That's inconsistent. They state "Alternatively feel free to call us on Taiwan +886 975 292 194 & Australia +61 408 608 318." So they probably rent an Australian mobile number from Skype.

You are almost certainly not dealing with someone in Australia. They are likely in Taiwan. If they are going to be a bit deceptive like that, can you trust them?

Just pointing it out.

Good luck.

I wouldn't call that 'deceptive', many international companies will use a local business address - not least because it makes sound business sense for custons, duties, etc to do larger shipments for local deliveries. It also simplifies the issues that may arise if neither party is fluent in the other's language.

Easiest thing is to give them a call and ask

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
