HEY GUYS, WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF AN AFTERMARKET ECU SOFTWARE CAN HAVE COMMUNICATION WITH ANOTHER BRAND OF ECU THAT IS NOT FOR THAT SOFTWARE, EXP MOTEC SOFTWARE BEING USED TO TUNE AN AEM ECU. MY UNDERSTANDING IS AS LONG AS THE SAME FREQUENCY IS USED ON THE SOFTWARE AND ECU IN THE CAN BUS, IT WOULD COMMUNICATE AND CAN BE USED TO PROGRAM ECU. COULD I GET SOME INFO ON THIS TOPIC
NO EACH SOFTWARE ONLY WORKS WITH ITS BRAND OF HARDWARE.

each ecu brand has there own coding and you cannot use say Motec software to tune a Link as an example it is impossible
