Just wondering if other shops around the word are have a tough time finding staff members? It kinda seems like automotive trade is dying somewhat, it feels like cars are just transportation and not a lifestyle. Is everyone kinda seeing the same thing or is it just my small part of the world in BC.
We are seeing this in Australia in Automotive and mining.
There are some backwards thought processes on pushing people to tertiary education, while I support all people having the opportunity it doesn't suit everyone and I think people who would have been good trades and enjoyed the industry decades ago are being pushed elsewhere. Low wages(outside mining or specialist) relative to professions doesn't help.
I think finding quality staff is a challenge in any enterprise, but I've not seen a lack of interest in the US.
