How did you find the CanBus source such as ID, 1Mb etc? I don't recall that being part of this course, is it on another one?

Either the manufacturer of the device in question will be able to provide this information to you, if it is not visible in the hardware management software or help, or you have to reverse engineer the information using CAN sniffing tools designed for this work.
