Hello Everyone,

I am building my first engine harness for my personal stage rally car. The car is a 2005 Mitsubishi Evo 8 currently running a Motec M400 on a jumper harness to the OEM harness. For now, I am going to do the engine harness but eventually a complete rewire front to back. The plan is to run the following for the engine harness:

- Motec M400 (currently on car with a jumper harness)

- PDM30

- C125/7 Dash Logger

- 15 Button Keypad

Questions

On the PDM, should the ECU have its own power output and the rest be grouped together on separate outputs? On the PDM tab, does PDM pin A08 look ok how it is now?

Does anyone have any insight on the IACV stepper motor amp draws? Would I measure across the 12V pin and either side of the stepper to read resistance to use in the Ohm's law equation?

I added my documentation for the harness for reference.

Thank you!

I would have the Dash and ECU on the same output, they will draw around 2A max so this is not a load issue. The Keypad must power on with the vehicle, I have seen a number of configurations where the keypad power is turned on by a button press on the keypad. If you are using a UTC to communicate, you do not need the 8V+ or 0V for the connector, only the CAN Hi/Lo. Coils and Injectors can be on the same 20A output as well.

Most IACV's draw around 2A peak, with a much lower hold current draw.

Thank you for the reply, I appreciate it!

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
