Been working on an LML, and am curious as to what it takes to format switchable tuning on these trucks. from what i’ve read, efilive does not offer dsp5 OS because the bosch ECM is too encrypted to do so. Obviously there are thousands of LMLs running switchable tuning, but is it within the grasp of a novice tuner? thanks in advance!
There is no actual custom OS for LMLs so you just dealing with the same injection quantity, boost & fuel timing. The switchable LML calibrations are just limiting overall torque via fuel temp tables. It is very simple to setup once you have a switch installed via datalogging the Fuel Temp PID. If you need help or have questions I have done more than a few
