Hi all,

Does anyone have a suggestion on a software I can use to write my own tune with? I can find everything I need to read and write files to these ECUs but nothing to actually edit the tune other than WinOLS.

Platforms in question that I have access to at the moment are a

2013 Mitsubishi Triton 4D56

2012 Mitsubishi Pajero 4M41

I was hoping to use these to actually gain some experience before branching out into other makes and models.

Thank you.

Hi,

WinOls is the way to go. You can search for ecu number and SW version and get a Mappack or Damos file to help find the maps you need.

What ECU is this? Or upload ori files and i can help you find maps.

Hi Alex, off the top of my head it's a Denso RA6 ECU. I can upload the BIN file if needed, it's just on my laptop.

So update on this. BitEdit has a map pack for these that is ok for the level I'm at. ECU is a Denso SH7058.

So far I've played around with my EGR and throttle map settings and the Triton is heaps more responsive. I'm struggling to get decent data logs with all the channels I feel that I need. I'm actually using a snap on scan tool to log engine torque, throttle position, etc. But I'm not super confident to start playing with my injection timing and pulse widths, as well as boost settings until I can get that sorted.

Anyone on here do much road tuning with diesels? I feel like booking and paying for dyno time is a bit of a waste until I understand my way around the software and how the different maps effect the vehicle.

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
