What will be an adequate cooling system for dyno tuning. Is there a minimum CFM requirement? What will be the main aspect to have in mind when you select the amount of CFM required for the fans.

There are two considerations - Cooling the engine/radiator, and then moving air through the dyno cell. There is very little information on the internet about sizing a dyno fan system and Ben and I are actually going through this process right now with our own workshop. The fan size will depend on the size of your room, how often you want to change the air in the room, and how much restriction is placed on the airflow by your ducting arrangement. In reality due to the number of variables you are probably best to consult a local air conditioning specialist.

We intend to write a blog post covering the design and testing of our cell once it's complete. That may not be too much use to you right now though unfortunately.

Thanks for the reply, regarding engine cooling specifically what size do you recomend to have in terms of cfm.

We have the fan supplied by Mainline with tour dyno which is a 14,000 CFM unit

Andre I'm looking forward to reading about your dyno room fit out.

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
