Greetings everyone, I'm a bit confused about getting a proper engine start.
After the engine cranks and starts, it would rise initially to 580rpm (highlighted in orange), it would then dip to 380rpm for nearly a second (highlighted in red) then it would pick up rpm again and work just fine.
I should also mention that the ignition lock has helped me to stabilize the rpm at the start, as a result, it would come to about 1600rpm then drop slowly back to 900.
Just to reiterate, the car starts just fine, it's the small dip at the beginning that I'm concerned about.
I've been experimenting with the following adjustments so far:
1. No ignition lock ( the ignition would jump back and forth, triggered by the ignition control that I have
2. DC Correction +- 4% on idle (this was just a mess and I simply turned it back to 0)
3. Tried with and w/o DC afterstart increase at about 2-3%, did not see the necessity to have it on.
Currently, the cranking takes about 2 sec before the engine starts. Sync is on in less than 1s.
Finally, the thing that I'm a bit surprised about and can't quite understand, you can observe this in the log, is why the rpm drops when I have the constant 20 degrees of ignition and no fuel cut happening.
As far as I understand, the rpm rise/drop would depend on:
Fuel adjustment and/or fuel cut
Ignition adjustment and/or ignition cut
Idle valve DC (which is my case is steady at 31%)
None of these occurs at the particular time when the rpm drops back to 900, I see a fluctuation in injector PW, however, the after start and warmup enrichment stay pretty much the same.
Would like to hear any suggestions on a good adjustment sequence for the cold/hot starts.
Would like to get it to the OEM smooth-like operation in different temp conditions.

Hey Vlad,
Have you tried adjusting the fuel afterstart enrichment table if it makes it better or worse?
