What kind of triggering errors will I encounter and how much should I increase the filtering by for different kind of errors ?
There is not enough information to answer your question. Given what you provided, I would say "various" and "the minimal amount to fix the problem".
For crank triggers, usually the errors are either missing pulses (in which case reducing any filtering should be tried), or extra pulses (generally electrical noise from some source like coils or pumps), in which case increasing filtering may help.
