This video discusses setting up the fuel table with the load axis using TPS (for multiple throttle body applications). I am looking to tune my VH45 soon, and will be using a MAP sensor as the fuel table load axis. Do I still use the same intervals as the TPS? I.E 0,2,5,10,20.40,60,80,100?

Hey Nic,

You want to have more resolution at idle, cruise area and some transient. You don't need to be bang on to start your car, you adjust your breakpoints if you find that your AFR needs correction in a certain area that are between 2 breakpoints.

I usually start with equal breakpoint and adjust them as needed during the tuning. Also, don't put too much resolution, having to tune 20 load cells for a NA engine is just slowing things up (or you'll end up skipping some cell and interpolating them).

That makes sense. So I should stick with interval's of 20 then. 0, 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100, and if I see that my AFR needs adjusting in between (most likely on a lower load), then I can add a load axis in between. Yeah, my motor is pretty much 100% stock as well, so I don't need anything fancy in the maps

You generally need fine breakpoints at small openings with ITB's. I generally start with something like 0,2,5,8,11,20,40,60,100 and only add more if needed.

Example of an ITB VE table below, you can see how steep the change is from 0% to 10%.
