Hi there!

I have a question regarding getting the ignition timing on a 350z. I'm using a halltech Elite 2500. The same as in the course. But when i connect the timing light to the wires of the number one coil, i get no light. I have used several different timing lights. Do you have any advice on this?

Thanks so far!

Kind regards,

Vincent

This technique can be quite hit and miss and depends on the sensitivity of the particular timing light as the wires going to the coil give a very low level signal. If you can't get the timing light to work in this way you can remove the coil and runa short ignition lead temporarily from the coil to the spark plug. Clip your timing light onto the ignition lead and you're good to go.
