Can the GP Rpm limit be used to setup engine protection if engine goes lean? Will something like the below table work?

Yes, that is generally the way to do it. May want to drop that activation delay a bit, 1.0s of too lean at full boost may not be acceptable for some engines.

Another option is to turn on the 3D MAP limit (boost cut) and limit boost based on AFR.
