Hello everyone,
I'm looking to purchase a standalone but, I can't seem to find good information on syvecs or maxx ecu. Can anyone tell me which one would be better? I'm planning on tracking the car and occasionally driving it on weekends. I live in Canada btw.
Thanks!
Dustin,
This webinar asks a number of questions which help make this decision.
https://www.hpacademy.com/previous-webinars/120-selecting-a-suitable-ecu-for-your-application/
If you haven't already, I'd give it a watch, and then if you're still unsure after watching and reviewing, fill us in on more info regarding the engine you want to tune, features you're looking for in an ECU, and other info the webinar asks about. With more info on what you're hoping to achieve, we can help narrow things down.
You want to choose a product that has the features, inputs/outputs, etc. that you need to tick all your boxes and achieve your goals, but poking around the software is something I also suggest doing, because ultimately that's how you'll be interfacing with the ECU.
Sometimes you'll get a piece of software, everything makes sense, you see the features you want, when something looks unclear you check documentation and it answers your questions (or doesn't, or doesn't exist), and that all helps you understand what your user experience will be like.
Thanks for the info. I'll go-ahead and watch it.
You're welcome! Please let us know what you decide.
