As these are plentiful and relatively cheap, can these water brake dynos be modified to absorb more than the 200hp. Has anybody had a play with one of these and what happens when you put more power on it than the brake can handle? I really just wanted to use it for loading and diagnosing rather than power readings.

Since you're in NZ, I would recommend getting in touch with Robin from Torque Performance. He's got a lot of experience with modifying old rolling roads and adding his own controllers to these. I'm reasonably sure that he predominantly works with eddy current absorbers rather than water brake but it can't hurt to ask the question.

Thanks for that suggestion Andre.
