What sort of ring gaps and bearing clearances would you recommend running on a 2JZ that makes around 1550whp on boost and would probably like to end up around 1700-1800whp on nitrous?Aluminum rod, 86.5mm bore, and 9:1 compression on ethanol.Piston to wall clearance is roughly .0050.It gets raced a lot and street cruised and highway pulls on the weekends.Car has already made 1519 before with 10:1 on boost only but I did not assemble the short block when it did that so have no clearance references to go off of.
For piston ring follow ring manufacture recommendation at that power level my guess is 0.008 per bore diameter.
