Hi i have a question about breaking engine in. I had an issue last night on an engine that we finished putting rods and pistons. Runs perfectly fine but when we started the break in process, we had a problem with drive belt tensioner so the car wont charge anymore. We had to abort the break in. We had ran the car for 12 minutes over something like 12kms. I have to order the part out of the country. I am sure rings had not finished bedding in. Is it Ok to just continue from where we left. What can you say about our situation.

Thanks

To me it's perfectly fine to continue from where you are as long as you keep increasing the engine load progressively and minimize idling time at low rpm.

Agreed.

Thank you

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
