Hi,

I am looking for someone who can advise me on clearances and tolerance for a CA18DET motor.

I have a power target between 400 and 450 hp. I would also like a maximum engine speed between 7000 and 7500 rpm.

The fuel is 95 octane.

Hello very cool little engine

a combo I have used standard crank eagle rods cp pistons .0015 big end clearance 0.002 mains 0.006 end float on the crank

piston clearance is dependent on the piston type

line bored the block and torque plate bored and honed

ring gap is also dependant on the brand

thank you for answering me

connecting rod K1 and piston JE for me, engine bored to 83.5mm without torque plate.

what thickness did you use for your connecting rod bearings and crankshaft bearings (+ 0.025mm; + 0.25mm)?

Hi

Ross what power did you do with your CA18DET?

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
