Hi everyone, Im busy building an E92 M3 racecar, I have run into a few snags along the way, the car uses 2-pin Hall effect sensors on wheel speed and on the trigger, anyone have any experience wiring these? Im using a Haltech Nexus R5 for the engine and chassis and an HTG Tuning GCU for the dual clutch transmission, the GCU will be communicating with the Nexus via CAN BUS.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

They sound like they are MagnetoResitive (MR) sensors, rather than Hall Effect.

These sensors have a polarity, so there should be a marking as to the pins on the sensor. I do not know about wiring them into the Nexus, but for the EVO X sensors into a MoTeC M1 this is the recommended method for wiring them. The BMW sensors (and the Nexus) may need a different value resistor to get the signal into the correct trigger range.
