Discussion and questions related to the course Practical Motorsport Wiring - Club Level
Dear friends!
I am fixing a Subaru Impreza now with swapped engine. Now it is EJ204 with VVT and 4 individual coils average atmospheric engine with stock ECU (Donor is Subaru Legacy BH5-197858 (1998-2001 production year). Problem is how Bosch LSU works. Without diving too deep i assumed that wires are connected wrong cuz all harness was reconnected. I have an average pinout of my ECU 22611 AG471 A18-000 D9C without explanation of designated signal i should see at each pin, only colors. It is useless to check wires by colors cuz wiring harness is not original and looks more like frankenstine. So my question is:
1)IS THERE SOMEONE WHO HAVE A PINOUT FOR ECU 22611 AG471 A18-000 D9C WHERE I CAN FIND WHICH WIRE FROM BOSCH 0 258 007 084 SHOULD GO.
2) BOSCH 0 258 007 084 IS A LSU 4.2 OR 4.0? WHICH WIRING PINOUT I SHOD SEARCH FOR?
3) ANY IDEA OF PINOUT FOR BOSCH 0 258 007 084.
Thanks in advance!
I'll be glad to receive any idea.
I'm pretty sure a Bosch 0 258 007 xxx sensor is LSU 4.2. The pinout depends on the connector type.
My first connector looks exactly like this
But because this is a frankenstine swap, there is one more connector in harness that leads to ECU then. And bunch of sad story connecting these original Bosch connector and harness connector.
That is why i am searching for pinout for ECU and LSU. After 4 days of me dancing around this car it finally works good till LSU turns on,and then it drags trims to -30% instantly. And car tries to stall. Either bad LSU or poor connection.
Looks like i've found pinout for this LSU 4.2
Now remaining only pinout for ECU 22611 AG471 A18-000 D9C with designated signal for each pin.
Originally pins - 93, 94, 101,102 are used in pin B134 on ECU.
Resolved. 2 wires were swapped. Now working normally, but anyway, needs a new sensor.
