Hi!

As I was watching the videos the second time I stumbled upon something which I don't understand. In the 8th HPA step when the harness is in the engine bay at around 7:34-35 several branches are held together with cable ties. I can see that later they do in fact head out to different locations but if they go together for a further I don't know 20 cm, why didn't we make our branch point there? As I see we branched them even though all of them (at least lot of them) go together for a longer distance.

Can someone clarify this to me please?

Thank you!

Experience tells us it's better to put the branches just before the wire bending needs to occur. If you err the other way, either you can't get the harness to fit at all, or you end up straining the branch point.

But they all make that bend anyway. So if what I marked in the picture was the case it would strain the branch point?

Yes, in that example they could have moved this branch much closer to the first wire tie where a wire branches off. Perhaps there is one we can't see that goes under that bundle, and they only wanted one branch point.

Thank you for your input!
