Hey guys,

Forgive me if I've missed the explanation, but why do we not do a splice instead of a 180 degree bend when needing to return wires to another area, such as in the e.g. used in this bundling and branching video. The power wires that go from the power source through to a centre point then 180 back to ecu etc.

I assume you're talking about the construction skills video and not the 8 step process branching video.

In the construction skills video these are small gauge wires that can easily take that bend. Bending the wire as such and being supported in the branch point, reduces the number of failure points, being continuous wires and not spliced points.

In the 8 step process video Zach does indeed use a splice to make a 180 degree bend with a larger wire.

Thankyou :)
