Hi All.

My RB26 used to have a PRP 12 tooth bottom trigger kit, used a cherry sensor, wiring was not shielded.

I'm now getting a PRP pro 36 tooth trigger kit. I'd like to know in practice how important shielding may be as currently the harness is unshielded.

I do have a plug near the firewall that connects the trigger kit harness to a loom that then runs into the ECU. Could I run shielded wiring in the engine bay to avoid interferance from accessories etc and run that to the firewall plug.

Has anyone had experience with the 36 tooth trigger kit to see how prone it is to interference especially as it's feeding more reference points per revolution to the ECU.

Cheers.

Hello it is very very important im surprised to hear you haven't had issues to this point
