Discussion and questions related to the course Practical Motorsport Wiring - Club Level
I currently have one loom and have my grounds going to the head using ring terminals.
But I'm about to split up my loom into sub looms (with bulkhead connectors for each) to make expansion/changes easier in the future. Those looms may also contain wires that need to go to the ground on the head.
It would be really cool to have some type of connector connected to the head to be able to plug individual wires into and so easily remove them (without tools) when I need to remove a sub loom.
Does anyone know of anything that might do the job?
I find them to generally be messier than they're worth but you might look into some of the buss connectors based on DTs and such:
I think Trombetta produces some as well.
David -- That's a nice piece, and a new one on me. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks David, not quite what i was looking for, I was wanting 1 connector per pin, but it gave me the terminology to search for
"Busbar" or "Bussbar" looks like has a few options.
Your right I am worried about them being messy, but the ground on the engine head is in an awkward location so I'm considering the options for making it easier to work with.
