Discussion and questions related to the course Practical Motorsport Wiring - Club Level
ive taken a golf mk1 hall sensor and fitted into another car's distributor that was originally points and condenser , everything lines up and looks the same as it did in the mk1 dissy but when bench testing it , it doesn't pulse it just stays 12v when i turn the disrupter ring on the pulse output . is there something stupid im missing when testing it ?
Does the hall sensor require a magnet trigger? If using a toothed wheel, are the teeth deep enough? Does the sensor work in open air with just a screwdriver tip as a target?
