I see the use of sub harnesses in your design, Coils in-particular.

What factors go into decided whether to wire directly to device vs creating a sub harness for them?

Thanks

In this instance, it was the fact that the coils weren't mounted yet, so wiring to them directly would have been problematic.

Another consideration is upgrades down the road. Injectors in particular this often applies to. It will be much easier to build a new small injector sub-harness to cater for a change than tidily replace the existing connectors on the complete harness.

Serviceability is also something to be taken into account. If you think you might need to get to a component often, but its connector is in a prick of a place to reach, using a sub-harness to being the connector somewhere more manageable can save a lot of time.

Thanks Zac, makes sense.
