Discussion and questions related to the course Practical Motorsport Wiring - Club Level
Hi,
This is my first time designing this so please bear with me...I have attached a drawing of a proposed wiring diagram of the life racing F88-RS6 and an AIM PDM32 to run my BMW S14 4 cylinder motor.
The following input sensors are as follows:
Crank ref, (VR) Cam ref (VR), Knock sensor (bosch 2 wire), MAP (delco), TPS, CTS (coolant temp sensor 2 wire bosch). Combined oil press/temp sensor bosch, FPS (fuel press sensor honeywell), Lambda (NTK L2H2), Injectors (pico, magnetti meralli), COPs (denso motorbike coils 129700-3881).
Can you please look over the wiring diagram and see what I have done wrong please?
Most of the wiring I have kept at 20awg for simplicity except in places where i have spliced these into a single 16awg wire through the bulkhead connector which is all indicated on the diagram
Also as I understand the simple 2 wire motorbike COPS have built in ignitors that with be directly triggered by the IGBT outputs in the ECU...please correct if I am mistaken
any help would be greatly appreciated.
hello i have taken a good look over your pdf and i must say m impressed i cannot see any issues at all
well done
Thanks for the ok.. The only thing I am a bit unsure about is the wiring of the master switch as I am worried about the current dump from the alternator and was wondering if there was also a way to delay the engine kill so the the logging was still active for 2 or 3 seconds...
