I tried to follow along from 2:41 min to 3:05 minutes. Spent an hour or more going backwards and forwards trying replicate what you did. I could not repeat it. I feel you may be assuming beginers have a level of knowledge of all commands. I can't work out how you were able to rotate the faces whilst maintaining the construction line protractor. I think you were switching between planes but this was not clear in your explanation.

I finally worked it out. When you click on the active plain the protractor stays in place and allows you to then click on the view plain box. WHilst we can see the curser move we can't always see when a click is made. It would be helpful to make this process clearer as once I descovered it I realised it was critical to 3D modelling.

at 2:41 I use my mouse to rotate the model as normal so I can see the "top" face of the little orientation icon in the top right corner, then I click on "top" (you'll notice it flashes blue at 2:44) to view the design from the top.

The same thing at 3:05, I rotate the model with my mouse as we covered in the getting started module, and then click the "right" view on the orientation cube icon at the top right to view the design from the right side.

I hope that clears things up a bit

sorry missed your second reply, thanks for the comment we'll definitely keep that in mind moving forward

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
