Motoec SDL3 CAN Data set

Hi,

Would any one perhaps have the predefined data set for the Motec SDL3 dash?

I have an Emtron ECU that I would like to have communicate with an Existing SDL3 dash. So either a DBC file or a copy of the SDL3 required config to work with the KV8 would really be highly appreciated.

The MoTeC dash has the ability to work with most CAN data streams. Does the Emtron have a default output data stream? You could create the support you needed with that on the SDL3.

Alternately, you could "Select.." an existing protocol (MoTeC SDL3 Dash Manager->Connections->Communications...), then use the "Edit..." button to see what messages, channels & offsets are used for that protocol -- perhaps you can implement that in the Emtron.

Your MoTeC dealer should be able to help if you can't do this yourself. I would also reach out to Emtron for any documentation they have on their output CAN Streams.

The Emtron is hugely flexible and you can write almost anything to it. I also have all the per-defined data streams for the Emtron. It's the Motec that I'm battling with.

The Local Motec dealer isn't the friendliest, and getting info from him is quite a challenge. I'll try what you said, under the communication section and see how far I get.

Thank you for the files you sent me. Once I opened them I worked out exactly what I need to do. Using your file with a slight mod for my application sorted me out 100%
