Discussion and questions related to the course Practical Motorsport Wiring - Professional Level
Hi guys,
I'm putting together tooling to cover all the Autosport/Deutsch connectors and pins, sizes #20 #22 #23 & #24.
Are you limited to the classic plastic removal/insert tools? Or do any of the metal options offered by DMC etc cover these pins also? I'm just finding the relevant coding and part numbers slightly confusing.
Basically I'm looking for the metal equivalents of;
M81969/14-01
M81969/14-10
605837
Cheers,
George.
Can't confirm about Deutsch AS connector, but in the avionics world the DAK83-20B and DRK83-20B usually works as a replacement for the Red/White plastic insertion/removal tool which is for size 20 contacts.
There are also some "hybrid" tool which have a plastic body with a metal "prong" like this one : https://canada.newark.com/amp-te-connectivity/91067-2/contact-insertion-extraction-tool/dp/44F8729
Do some searching too. We buy these tools at my airline for $1 a piece from some suppliers.
