Discussion and questions related to the course Practical Motorsport Wiring - Professional Level
Hello all,
When designing a harness, I’m having a breakout connector (ASU 3 way) for the IAT sensor.
Now most IAT sensors can come with a connector of some sort. Do you leave both connectors I.E. DTM 2 way on IAT sensor and a short breakout connector or should I pot the second IAT sensor and then have an ASU connector?
When I say second IAT sensor I mean the second photo I uploaded that doesn’t have a DTM connector
I can't see your pictures, but if you're going to use an ASU connector anyway, I would pot the IAT connector.
I would still build an adapter -- if you have a sensor fail, you can then use a stock sensor to get going, until you have the time to pot it.
Thanks for both answers guys! Guess then it is down to preference and what makes more sense in application.
mic re attached photos as they clearly didn’t add the first time.
