Discussion and questions related to the course Practical Motorsport Wiring - Professional Level
Hey guys I’m building a harness for my car Which is going to an autosport connector mounted on the firewall. I wanted to use a separate autosport connector for my wideband. I’m going to be using a haltech wb1 single channel controller. I wanted to mount the unit inside the car. Would it be possible to cut the harness from the wb1 and terminate it with an autosport connector, then continue to the sensor with the factory connector? I see that one of the wires is a calibration resistor, would this be an issue.
The calibration resistor is on the cable that comes with the actual sensor.
So it's no problem to use an autosport connector between the WB1 and your lambda sensor. We always integrate the lambda sensor wiring in the engine harness even if an external module such as the Haltech WB1 is used.
