Discussion and questions related to the course Practical Motorsport Wiring - Professional Level
I have purchased a couple of MAC 4 port solenoid valves
The 2 core cable connection is via a tiny connector flush with solenoid body (See attached image)
I want to ‘pott’ the solenoid as best possible and add a Deutsch ASL connector
My question is should I;
Source a new/empty tiny connector for the solenoid valve and pin with Spec 55, apply DR 25 and try and boot the entire top of the of the solenoid valve with SCL while filling the SCL with potting compound ?
Or
Just abraid the body of the solenoid at cable entry point and say 5mm of the DR25 and apply potting compound around the cable entry to secure tiny connector ?
It is an awkward component to deal with in a satisfactory way.
Look forward to hearing teh forums thoughts
Many thanks
Tony
