Hey guys,

I'm searching for motorsports connectors and see that pin and socket options are available on most ones I'm looking for. Is there any rule of thumb you guys use for which? For example I will have several flanged receptacles. Same for plug and associated receptacle. Which side do you guys normally pick for pin and sockets?

Thanks,

Sean

Usually I use the flanged ones as socket version as they stay in the car and can't be damaged as easily as pin ones.

Everything else on the harness side I try to have as socket type, too. Sub-harnesses etc. will have then the pin connector.

I try to stick to that where applicable but there are for sure also some exceptions.

That makes sense for the flange connectors that will stay on the car.

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
