Hi all!

I'm still assembling my engine that is an honda B16a2 with low CR 9,0:1, and a TD05 Turbo from a Mistubishi evo 8 (16G6).

It also has a light hand ported head, std size valves. upgraded TB to 68mm. and stock cams (I think I will upgrade them in the future), 250l/h walbro fuel pump, and I still have to decide the inj size to go with (thinking about 550cc).

The question is, since I have quite a good map that I did with the help of this course, can I use it to start the new engine? Apart from the AFR that has to be modified a bit, will the stock N/A timing be ok and safe, considered that the engine has a lower CR as well? Even for the boost zone, with the rule of 2 degree out X PSI ?

Thanks! and sorry for language errors!

Your current naturally aspirated map should be a reasonable starting point to get you up and running. Of course you will need to modify the fuel delivery in the boosted areas that you weren't previously reaching as well as removing timing in boost as you describe. You will need to modify your fuel delivery anyway if you are upgrading your injectors so as long as you're watching the AFR, listening for knock, and approach the tuning slowly and methodically you should have little trouble.

Thank you Andres. I'll try to update this thread once I've finished the engine build.

No problem. I look forward to hearing how you get on :)
