Hi guys totally newbie question but one that's bugging me, on the target table and base fuel tables what do the number represent I know up one side is RPM the other on mine is load in psi, but what are the numbers in the boxes?

0.79 and 1.00 what? I'm running a Haltech Elite 1000

Also I'm guessing green is rich red is lean?

Ok so the first number that's in your fuel table will depend on how the ECU is configured. In your example it would look like you're using the Haltech's 'Volumetric Efficiency' mode and in that case the numbers represent the engine's volumetric efficiency (how completely it's filling its cylinder with air.

The other table is your air fuel ratio (lambda) target, which is what you want your lambda to be at each point. In a VE fuel model this needs to be set to your desired targets and then you adjust the VE table values until you achieve those targets.

Thanks for the reply, I get what your saying,

In the target lambda table the values are adjustable between the values of 0.48 to 1.36 I don't get what the values represent if that makes sence I thought in this table I'd be able to put 14.5:1 ect to set the target

The numbers you're looking at are in units of lambda, not AFR. you can change to units of AFR by clicking on the little ruler icon near the top of the screen. Under 'AFR', change the units to 'AFR -Gasoline/Petrol'.

The Understanding AFR course expalins the difference between lambda and AFR. let me know if you still have questions.

All up to speed now Andre thanks for the replies
