Will wideband calibration be done during the Practical Standalone Tuning course, please? As I just started the Understanding AFR course and I'm quite lost as to how to do the calibration.

Thanks!

i have passed on your message to head office

Hi Corinne,

What devices are you using to control the wideband? all of the devices will have different methods to calibrate a wideband sensor, so a pointer to the device being used will assist in providing help.

Hi Corinne, as Stephen has mentioned there isn't a universal technique for this and it will totally depend on your ECU and wideband. In general the wideband can be brought into the ECU directly via an onboard wideband controller, via an analogue voltage input (which requires you to define the relationship between voltage and AFR (which will be in your wideband manufacturer's instructions), or via CAN which requires a compatible ECU/wideband or at least the ability to customise a CAN template.

If you provide more information we can help you more.

I have the Link G4+ Monsoon ECU, the Bosch LSU 4.9 wideband sensor and the AEM digital wideband O2 AFR UEGO gauge. This is what I managed to discover so far. Sorry if I sound lost but this is all so new to me and I'm learning everything from scratch. After watching a number of videos from the courses I try to figure out what had been installed in the engine.
