Fabing my downpipe and installing a vibrant bung onto it. The bung is kinda tall and the sensor itself only protrudes like an 1/8 of inch or so into the pipe. I see a lot of extended bungs so how important is the protrusion depth really. This is on a turbo 4 cylinder using an innovate mtx-l. Wideband.
Two good things with using that bung. The sensor won't block much exhaust flow, and the fins should help it dissipate heat so the sensor won't overheat in a turbo application. I think you've chosen the correct bung your application.
