Hi,
My question is simply this: Does the fuel delivery into the cylinders solely come from the fuel vapor from the fuel film? Or perhaps during the duration of the pulse width some fuel is entering the cylinder and some of the fuel is replenishing the fuel film as well as entering the cylinder?
Thank You
Hi John,
No not all fuel going into the cylinder is only from the vapor and from the fuel film. The large majority of it is from the injector itself, volume will vary on many factors.
The webinar is explaining more the importance of acceleration enrichment and why it is required.
A portion of the fuel from the injector is used to create this fuel film on the port wall and create an equilibrium while the remaining portion goes into the cylinder for combustion.
I understand now, thank you for your help
