Hi team,
In item three you cover the loss of tooth sink with a full depth missing too. I assume this relates only to a VR sensor, my question is what affect would the preferred tooth height wheel have on a hall sensor? Would it get confused by the flat height missing tooth and give errors?
I am asking as I have a copy of a 2jz vvti wheel installed on my engine but using an hall sensor as the Toyota VR sensor did not fit.
Cheers,
Michael
Yes this only relates to a VR sensor. If you're using a hall sensor you can cut a full depth tooth across the gap. You 'may' have issues with a half height tooth and a hall sensor but I can't confirm as I haven't done this myself.
