Hi guys few weeks back I seen there was an upcomeing webinar about vvti . Went too look for it there and I don't see it did use not do 1?

Does exhaust map follow the same intake map pattern?....full retared then advanced and full retarded again?.

The exhaust cam mapping is a little more complex as you can advance or retard the cam independently of the intake cam and hence you can affect the overlap too. The best technique in my own experience is to start by coarsely optimising the intake cam as the engine's VE will be more sensitive to this. Once you have the intake cam approximately right, adjust the exhaust cam and watch the torque response. It becomes an iterative process as each time you adjust the exhaust cam you may find the engine will respond to a further intake cam change too. You will start to see a pattern emerge of what the engine wants for both intake and exhaust.
